Schellenberg Wittmer has been awarded "Best Firm for Women in Business Law in Switzerland 2019" by Euromoney's Legal Media Group for the second year in a row.
The second year win for the firm demonstrates Schellenberg Wittmer's commitment in promoting gender diversity within the workforce on all levels as part of its key values contributing to its on-going success, strategy and vision.
Schellenberg Wittmer was shortlisted across 6 categories, with International Arbitration Partner Nathalie Voser and Counsel Andrea Dorjee-Good shortlisted as top lawyers in their areas of expertise.
Over the years, the management of the firm, together with a dedicated diversity taskforce (led by partners Caroline Clemetson and Stefan Leimgruber), has continuously implemented multiple diversity initiatives and measured targets that strongly commit to a more gender diverse workforce, – especially in the aim of empowering talented women lawyers for leadership and strategic positions. Tangible results have already taken place in the January 2019 partner promotions, where a total of 4 women (Anya George, Clara Poglia, Julie Raneda and Anna Kozmenko) entered into the partnership, setting a great precedence for talented women in business law in Switzerland. Partner Caroline Clemetson additionally has recently joined the firm's Management Committee.
The 9th annual Euromoney Legal Media Group Europe Women in Business Law Awards is aimed at recognizing firms with the best initiatives for gender diversity, innovation, minority women, mentoring, work-life balance, pro bono work and talent management.
