Schellenberg Wittmer advised OTB Ventures on the Series A financing of ClearSpace


Schellenberg Wittmer advised OTB Ventures as lead counsel in the EUR 26.7 million Series A financing of the in-orbit servicing and space debris removal company ClearSpace.

ClearSpace was founded in 2018 and is a leading developer of in-orbit services seeking to shape the future of sustainable space operations. ClearSpace is ramping up operations ahead of the world’s first space debris removal mission, ClearSpace-1, scheduled to launch in 2026.

This new financing round brings together a global team of venture capital investors, led by OTB Ventures backed by the European Investment Fund and Swisscom Ventures.

The Schellenberg Wittmer team consisted of Christoph Vonlanthen (overall lead), Tarek Houdrouge and Alexander Zundel (Corporate/M&A), Lorenza Ferrari Hofer and Helen Reinhart (Intellectual Property), as well as Vincent Carron and Christophe Chatelanat (Employment).
