Schellenberg Wittmer advises Axpo on the sale of Avectris to GIA Informatik

Schellenberg Wittmer advised Axpo Holding, Switzerland’s largest producer of renewable energy, on the sale of Avectris AG, Baden, a Swiss IT service provider for medium-sized companies, to Swiss IT-provider GIA Informatik AG, Oftringen, a wholly owned subsidiary of GRAPHA-Holding AG, Hergiswil.

Avectris has been a subsidiary of Swiss energy companies Axpo Holding AG, Elektrizitätswerke des Kantons Zürich (EKZ) and AEW Energie AG. With 490 employees Avectris offers digitalisation services along the entire IT value chain including cloud migration services, SAP Consulting, Cybersecurity and Robotics Process Automation, achieving in its 2019/20 financial year a turnover of CHF 138.4 million.

The team at Schellenberg Wittmer was led by Lorenzo Olgiati and included Oliver Triebold, Marcel Jakob, Elia Schunck, Silvana Schöb and Jessica Obrist (all Corporate/M&A), Christine Beusch-Liggenstorfer (Employment), Samuel Klaus and Floriane Zollinger-Löw (both ICT), David Mamane (Competition) and Michael Nordin (Tax).
